You’re married and you now realize the honeymoon is over. Maybe it was over a long time ago.
You fight constantly - sometimes over trivial things and other times over more important issues like your finances and your children. Or, maybe a tragedy has hit your marriage – an affair or even a death in the family. No matter what your situation is – you might start to feel hopeless.
Marriage Matters can help! Our goal is to help you have the healthiest marriage possible. Trained mentor couples are available to give your marriage hope through marriage mentoring sessions. These couples are equipped to help you and your spouse work through solutions to the troubles in your marriage.
Most importantly, these couples have all experienced many of the same issues you and your spouse are experiencing. They are ready to help because they have been there, done that.
What can we expect during our mentoring sessions?
During your first mentoring session, you and your spouse will each take a marriage inventory that will profile issues that are unique to your relationship. The inventory results will guide your time and discussions during your mentoring sessions and will reveal your strong points and where you can improve as a couple. Your mentors will meet with you for four to eight sessions for an hour and a half per session. The time involved is minimal compared to the lifetime investment you will make for your marriage.
How much does marriage mentoring cost?
There is no cost to a couple for the marriage mentoring itself. However, depending upon the church or organization, there may be up to a $15.00 fee for the scoring of the marital inventory used in the process.
How do we get started?
To request mentoring, please submit the Mentoring Request Form online and a representative from the Marriage Matters office will be contacting you.
