How can I help?
A “perfect” marriage is not required to help other couples. We’re looking for couples with healthy marriages who have a passion to help people and make a positive difference in families. It’s an opportunity to impact a couple’s relationship for a lifetime and improve your own marriage at the same time. Mentoring couples helps save marriages now and for generations to come by breaking the cycle of divorce.
What is required of me?
To be a mentor couple, you will attend training sessions where you will be provided with guidance and support materials. The lead couple in your church or organization will match you with a couple to mentor. Mentor couples are encouraged to meet with their mentorees for four to eight sessions. One and a half hours per week with each couple is ideal for most situations. Each mentoree couple takes a marriage inventory that profiles unique challenges and issues that they might face. The results create an outline that guides your discussions and supports subsequent mentoring sessions. Ideally, you and your spouse would meet with 2-3 mentoree couples a year. At any time during the mentoring process, we are here to help and provide further resources!
