Gallup Poll: America on Extramarital Affairs

Recently, Gov. Mark Sanford of South Carolina has admitted to having an affair. It appears that extramarital affairs are commonplace, though not condoned by the majority. What does America believe? Last month Gallup Poll reported on our values and beliefs as a nation. Americans are by far more morally minded than would appear, given the values projected upon us by our most popular source of entertainment, television.

According to the Gallup Poll, 92% of Americans believe that married men and women having an affair is morally wrong.
